Hi everyone,

Four weeks of silence. That's on me. Client delivery ate the calendar, and this newsletter was the first thing to drop.

Read on to discover how I fixed it in under an hour.

We built a company skill live

Earlier today, webinar attendees watched me build a Claude skill from scratch, live.

A skill is a text file. It teaches Claude how your company does one thing. E.g., how you write proposals, how you close the books, how you prep a sales call.

Most companies keep that knowledge in someone's head. Or in a 40-page process doc nobody opens.

Turn it into a skill file and three things change:

  1. It runs the same way every time.

  2. Anyone on the team can trigger it.

  3. You can read it, fix it, and version it. Like code, but in plain language.

I run my whole company on skills now. More than 100 of them. Morning planning, invoicing, sales follow-ups, even this newsletter.

My strategy meeting was a conversation with my terminal

Monday I realized I had lost the plot on my own content plan. The first phase had died while I was deep in delivery.

So I asked my terminal: "Refresh me on the strategy. What have we done?"

It read the plan files. It checked what shipped. Then it told me the truth: almost nothing.

We rebuilt the calendar together in about an hour. New windows. And a new rule: when a channel goes quiet, the plan flags itself red. It can't die silently again.

No dashboard caught this. No SaaS tool did. The strategy lives in text files, so my AI could read it, audit it, and fix it with me. That's Human + AI in practice.

Denmark's biggest bakery asked the best question

Last week I flew to Copenhagen to run a three-hour executive workshop with the biggest bakery in Denmark.

I went to teach AI. I came home knowing more about baking than I ever expected. What a team. Thank you for having me, Copenhagen.

What stuck with me was one question near the end. Someone asked how we run our own company this way — how the workshop itself got built, recapped, and turned into a 90-day roadmap using the same skills and agents I'd just spent three hours teaching them.

That's the training landing exactly right. People are curious, they want to peek behind the curtain at what it looks like running seamlessly inside a real company, so they can go replicate the parts that fit theirs.

One thing to try this week

Pick one thing your company does well that lives in one person's head. Write down the steps in plain language, like you're training a new hire.

That's 80% of a skill file.

Hit reply and tell me which process you picked. I read every reply, and our conversations help shape the newsletter.

Thanks for reading.

Tim
